V8.1 promises a 20% boost to real time analytics

Fintech firm Velocimetrics, a leading provider of business flow tracking and performance analytics, has today announced the release of v8.1 of its VMX EndToEnd product suite. Improved functionality has been developed in these key areas:

Latest Generation Appliance Platform

The new version of the product suite incorporates an ultra fast new appliance range. Based on the latest Intel Xeon Scalable Processor Platform, the latest appliance platform offers a 20% boost to real-time analytics. The new appliances also feature solid-state drives and Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) technology, meaning Velocimetrics offers double the capacity of the previous appliance generation, with the same footprint and price point as before.

mdPlay Offers 80 Gbit Capture Capability

Velocimetrics’ mdPlay utra-high precision market data replay solution benefits from the new appliance range and can now offer 80 Gbit capture or simultaneous 40 Gbit capture and replay, within a 2U form factor.

Analytics Engine and Visualization Enhancements – VMX EndToEnd 8.1

Velocimetrics’ latest software update has also now been released. This release features a significant software performance boost, providing a 20% boost in throughput and enhanced responsiveness to real-time issues. Significant improvements have also been made to the web visualization tier. The web UI has been re-skinned and features switchable light and dark themes. Users can now also create and customize their own dashboard layouts and share these with other users. Performance enhancements improve the responsiveness of the web UI making for a richer interactive experience.

Integrated Business and Network Analytics – VMX EndToEnd 8.1

The VMX EndToEnd solution now unlocks the power of network, market data and middleware analysis by combining them with business level analytics. Analytics include detailed microburst metrics, market data feed gap-detection and middleware metrics including retransmission rates and slow consumers This valuable contextual data enriches the understanding of the business flows that VMX is tracking and allows business processing issues to be quickly tied back to underlying technical infrastructure issues.

Steve Rodgers, Head of Engineering at Velocimetrics, comments: “The development team at Velocimetrics is always striving to create the best functionality to help financial institutions gain a competitive edge and improve margins through performance analytics. With an uplift of 20% in real time analytics, we think we have surpassed expectations with v8.1. With our next version due out in the autumn, we’re already working on how we can develop the solution further.”
